So here it is, the first Review! This review, as you may have guessed, is about Final Fantasy 7. Now, I have played many FF games in the past but none compare to this beast, Innovative graphics, fast-paced action and fantastic cut scenes and story; all over three disks! Okay, so I said 'Innovative graphics' but his is a PlayStation one game and is well worthy of that quote there. To start I would like to Give a little snippet of the story:
You are Cloud strife, an Ex-Soldier for a company called 'Shinra', Shinra's goal is making energy to power all sorts of things; Machinery, Cities and even themselves! To do this, Shinra use Huge Mako reactors to suck Mako (The source of power) from the earth. Now you see some people do not like this, A group called AVALANCHE recruit Cloud and together they stop Shinra and defeat the all-powerful Sephiroth. Not just that bit there though, that was just a Tiny amount of the story, Numerous boss battles and Side-quests and plot twists and all sorts! Here, have some screen shots of the Game itself:
As you can see from the above; The game uses an awesome turn-based combat system as well as you having a Talking dog called Nanaki and a Sexy, Triangle boobed Fist fighter called Tifa! How can this game get any better!? Oh but it does...
Here, listen to this, FF is renowned for it's amazing Soundtrack but this one really Puts the balls to the egg slicer..Or the uhh, Takes the cake....Rapes the Jam in tuesday night? I think what I am trying to say is that I really like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJzfOA9uV6E
That did not convince you? Have some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVBM3bX7xdw
Neato' huh? eeyup, Neato' is the right word.
The next point I would like to get onto is the Rich Backgrounds to this game, A lot of people dismay when I say that The backgrounds in a game are good. Like in Castlevania, The backgrounds have so much detail with bats flying from skulls and ghosts roaming around, Although the Backgrounds in this game appear static, the sheer quality of them makes up or that factor, Although, a lot of the Backgrounds (I remember Vividly from a part near the Beginning of the game; the Train Graveyard) Have moving parts to them, when, for example; at some points you must move a train to progress, the train moves fluently and still keeps the amazing graphic to it! This, I am ashamed to say; is the Conclusion of this review, I really LOVE this game as much as I love muffin's and Jaffa cake's and trust me, Those two things are my favourite savoury, sugary, yummy, loverly', Stupendous...I'm moving away yet again from the Point. This game is amazing and I have only scratched the surface of this pile of Genius on toast! Try it for yourself, I am sure that some of you Have a PlayStation 3, In which case you can download this game on the PSN network for just a small fee.
In conclusion I give this game a 9.5/10 (It lost .5 of a Point For that bloody boss battle against Diamond weapon!)
